WCW
In January 1994 Terra Ryzing entered the WCW, and beat Brian Armstrong (Jesse James) in his first televised match at WCW Worldwide with the Indian Death Lock.
Terra Ryzing only used to beat the jobbers, he didn't have many matches against the stars of the WCW, one of the biggest matches was against the TV champion Larry Zbyzsko in May 1994, Zbyzsko won the match, and with that Terra Ryzing disappeared only to return as Jean-Paul Levesque, a gimmick where he portrayed a French-Canadian aristocrat, a gimmick very similar to Lord Steven Regal - an English aristocrat.
The gimmick change didn't heighten the quality of competition, he still used most of his time wrestling jobbers. Jean-Paul Levesque made his PPV debut at Starrcade 1994, losing to Alex Wright.
Lord Steven Regal was looking for a tag team partner, and for weeks it looked liked it should be Jean-Paul, but the WCW didn't count with the WWF, who signed him.
WWF
Hunter Hearst Helmsley was "born" in the WWF in May 1995, with a gimmick again very similar to Lord Steven Regal's. Helmsley looked very impressive in his first months in the WWF, beating mid-carders and jobbers at house shows and at tv-tapings, with his new finishing move, the Pedigree.
Helmsley scored his first PPV victory in the WWF at Summer Slam 1995 against Bob Holly. Fatu was the next victim at In your House. Hunter then went after the hog farmer, Henry O. Godwinn, the rich snob vs. the simple hog farmer. At In Your House V, we witnessed the first ever Arkansas Hog Pen bout, which saw a bloodied and dirty Hunter Hearst Helmsley as the winner.
At the Royal Rumble 1996, Hunter started a feud with Duke the Dumpster Droese, which started at the Free For All, where they battled for the no. 30th spot. Hunter was DQ'ed and had to enter as no. 1, but with a strong performance he lasted almost 50 minutes, before he was eliminated.
Hunter wanted to get revenge on Droese, so he cut Droese's hair, after Hunter had hit him with the Pedigree on a trash can lid. Their feud continued until WrestleMania XII, both won evenly, where Hunter had to face the returning Ultimate Warrior. Hunter lost to the Warrior in a mere 98 seconds. Hunter blamed the loss on his valet of the night, Sable, enter Marc Mero to the rescue. The two started feuding until the Madison Square Incident.
The Madison Square Garden incident
At Madison Square Garden Hunter faced Razor Ramon and Shawn Michaels had to face Diesel, these matches were the last for Ramon and Diesel, who were headed for WCW. These four men and 1-2-3 Kid was know as the "Clique", who in my opinion played a big part in the booking department in WWF.
Hunter and Shawn won the matches, but as a part of Razor and Diesel's send off, they all celebrated in the ring, hugging and high-fiveing, which is clearly breaking kayfabe (the practice of keeping the inner workings of wrestling a secret).
Vince McMahon was angry, he couldn't punish Diesel and Razor since they were leaving, Michaels was champ and leader of the new generation, which left back Hunter Hearst Helmsley, who took the fall. Hunter was constantly jobbed until autumn to the likes of Jake Roberts and other mid-carders. Hunter has in a interview on Raw is War said, that it was planned that he should be the King of the Ring 1996, but because of the Madison Square incident, it didn't happen until 1997.
In autumn Helmsley might have been a little aggrieved to discover his harem of voluptuous valets disappearing mid-match with Mr. Perfect. Hunter then challenged Mr. Perfect to a match at Monday Night Raw, before the match Hunter rammed a small wagon into Mr. Perfect's knee, which made him unable to compete. Perfect then convinced his "good friend", Intercontinental champion, Marc Mero to take his place.
Marc Mero became the victim of the Perfect Hoax, when he lost the title to Helmsley, with the help of Mr. Perfect, who became Hunter's manager for a short while, before leaving the WWF. When Helmsley's feud with Marc Mero ended, then Goldust was next.
Goldust
Helmsley started the feud by showing interest for the lovely Marlena, Goldust's manager. The two clashed at Royal Rumble 1997, where Helmsley won, with the help of his butler, Curtis Hughes. Hughes didn't last long though, because of health problems. Entering Chyna, who appeared a week after Hughes left, she wasn't with Helmsley from the beginning, but she made a surprise attack on Marlena, where Chyna manhandled her.
Chyna started to show up with Hunter, and together they stalked Goldust and Marlena. But Chyna couldn't help Hunter when he lost the title to Rocky Maivia on Thursday Raw Thursday. But the loss of the title didn't end his feud with Goldust, whom Hunter defeated at WrestleMania 13.
It was time for the King of the Ring 1997, Hunter had to qualify to the PPV by beating Ahmed Johnson, but Hunter misunderstood the rules, so he thought he couldn't be disqualified, but he was when Chyna interfered. Because of the misunderstanding, Hunter got a second chance against Crush, whose scheduled opponent, Vader, was injured. Hunter defeated Crush and was ready for the King of the Ring.
In the semi final of the PPV, Hunter once again stood over Ahmed Johnson, but this time Hunter got the last laugh, when he defeated Ahmed, with the help of Chyna. In the final waited none other than the crazy Mankind, who defeated Jerry Lawler in their encounter. It was a really good match, where Hunter was victorious. Hunter Hearst Helmsley was crowned the King of the Ring 1997, a feat many thought he couldn't pull before the event. All hail the King and Queen of the WWF: Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Chyna.
After his King of the Ring victory, Hunter has won some matches and lost some, but the most interesting part is that he has started a violent feud with Mankind, which continued until Summer Slam.
At Summer Slam the two clashed in a fantastic Steel Cage Match, even though Mankind/Dude Love won, Hunter's performance showed that he is capable of having a good match against any body.
Degeneration X
After his great performance at Summer Slam, Hunter has aligned himself with his good friend Shawn Michaels and Rick Rude - the Thriple Threat of WWF. Shawn and Hunter bills themselves as Degeneration X, and right now they are feuding with the Hart Foundation, since Hunter helped Shawn defeat the British Bulldog for the European title, and Shawn and Bret will face each other at Survivor Series. Since HHH has joined the Degeneration X his performances have improved.
With the departure of Bret Hart and Rick Rude we will just have to wait and see what will happen with the feud between Degeneration X and the Hart Foundation.
The way that Degeneration X have behaved, mocking every wrestler and announcer, has gotten the consequence that Sgt. Slaughter will go up against HHH at Degeneration X. I don't know where the WWF is heading with bringing Sgt. Slaughter back in the ring, but it can't be good. At Degeneration X HHH kicked the shit out of Slaughter, and he deserved it.
Hunter Hearst Helmsley "defeated" Shawn Michaels to become the new WWF European Champion, it was a setup because Sgt. Slaughter wanted Michaels to defend the belt, and Michaels picked HHH to challenge him. Michaels fell on the ground and Helmsley made the cover. 1-2-3. This incident happened at 12/11/97 but was aired at 12/22/97.
Owen Hart
Since Hunter won the European Title, he has been the victim of Owen Hart, but Hunter busted his knee and will have to sit out for some time, but still he have interfered in Owen's business and made constant references to the thing between his legs.
Instead of waiting until Hunter was ready for battle the WWF decided that he would have to face Owen Hart for the WWF European Title at Raw is War, January 26. Hunter who hadn't recovered from his knee injury choose to let the Artist Formerly Known As Goldust, disguised as HHH, to face Owen. Hunter's old "friend" commissioner Slaughter decided that since Owen had won the match, which was sanctioned for the WWF European Title he was declared the new WWF European Champion.
At In Your House 20, No Way Out, Hunter returned to the ring, but in the process he re-injured his knee, but he should be back before WrestleMania. Until Hunter is ready, Chyna will make sure that Owen doesn't loose the title by attacking Owen's opponents so Owen get DQ'ed. Degeneration X got a new member at Raw is War, March 2, who turned out to be Mike Tyson.
At March 17, Hunter challenged an injured Owen Hart to a match, Hunter shoved Owen out his chair, and after that Owen attacked. Chyna helped Hunter when she hit Owen with a baseball bat on his injured leg and rolled him back to the ring. Hunter then put an ankle lock on Owen and was declared the winner and for a second time WWF European Champion.
At WrestleMania 14 Hunter defended his title against Owen Hart, where Chyna was handcuffed to Sgt. Slaughter, the match went back and forth and Chyna made sure that Hunter won the match, when she threw powder in the face of Slaughter and then dealt a low blow to Owen, and the Pedigree secured Hunter the win.
Taking over the leadership of DX
Since Shawn will take some time off due to his injuries, Hunter proclaimed himself the new leader of Degeneration X, at Raw is War, March 30th, Hunter said that Michaels dropped the ball and said that he picked it up, from now on he would make the decisions. Hunter also said that he would form an army, he then introduced a new member Sean Waltman (X-Pac). But one new member wasn't enough later that evening Hunter and Waltman secured the New Age Outlaws the WWF Tag Team Title, and NAO became a part of Degeneration X.
Hunter have turned out to be a great leader of Degeneration X, they have taken a leak at the bikes of DOA and defeated them, and they have attacked Owen, who in the process have aligned himself with the LOD 2000. With Hunter in the driving seat it looks like Degeneration X will continue its road to stardom. Hunter defeated Owen at Unforgiven with a helping hand form X-Pac, hopefully Hunter don't have to use more time on Owen.
The following day at Raw is War, Hunter and Degeneration X shocked the wrestling world, when they decided to go to the Norfolk Scope, where WCW Nitro took place. They never came into the arena, but they got people to say that WCW sucks. Personally I think it went a bit too far. Hunter also offered a title shot to anyone, who wanted it. Dan Severn answered the challenged, but the match never got under way because Severn beat his manager Jim Cornette instead.
Degeneration X's crusade against WCW continued, as they paid yet another visit to the WCW, this time the CNN Center, nothing happened. It looks like the never ending feud with Owen, and the Nation which he has aligned himself with, will continue some time, since they had a match later at Raw is War. At the May 25th episode of Raw is War, Hunter had an excellent match with Rocky Maivia from the Nation, which ended with a double count-out. Owen and the rest of the Nation got some revenge on Hunter at Over the Edge, when Owen executed the Pedigree, which gave the Nation the win.
Raw is War, June 2nd, the Nation fought DX in a elimination match, when suddenly Ken Shamrock appeared and caused the disqualification for DX, Hunter wanted revenge for this, but got nothing out of his troubles.
Hunter qualified for the second round of the King of the Ring tournament by defeating X-Pac at Raw is War, June 15th, but it was due to the Nation, where Rocky caught Hunter's attention, while Owen Hart attacked X-Pac. Before the match Degeneration X had "big" problems with the match, but it was to no avail due to the Nation. Later that night Degeneration X attacked both the Nation, Dan Severn and Ken Shamrock, showing that they rule the WWF.
The Rock
At Raw is War, June 22nd, Hunter went up against Rocky Maivia to determine who would advance to the semi-final of the King of the Ring, but Chyna's distractions weren't enough as Maivia got the victory. After the match Degeneration X punked Maivia until the rest of the Nation members came to the ring.
Raw is War, June 29th, Hunter issued a challenge to Ken Shamrock, who won the King of the Ring 1998, but Owen Hart had also done the same thing, so a three way dance was put up. During the match Rocky Maivia attacked Hunter, who was pinned. Looks like the great matches between Hunter and Maivia will continue until Summer Slam, especially now when DX have mocked the Nation with a parody.
The ongoing war with the Nation continues, at Raw is War, July 13, Hunter and X-Pac defeated Owen and Rocky Maivia in a tag match. Later Hunter displayed his leader abilities, when he convinced Vince McMahon that the New Age Outlaws should get a rematch against Kane and Mankind, unfortunately it wasn't enough as the match ended in a draw.
On Raw is War, July 20, Hunter lost his European Title to D-Lo Brown from the Nation, Hunter was about to finish D-Lo off, when Rocky Maivia entered the ring and hit the Rock Bottom on Hunter, which gave the victory to D-Lo. Hunter tried to help X-Pac defeat Maivia for the Intercontinental Title, but the match ended with a disqualification victory to Maivia.
At Fully Loaded Hunter battled Rocky Maivia in best out of three falls for the Intercontinental Title. The match was excellent and full of interference. Maivia won the first fall, Hunter the second and the last fall ended due to time limit. This great match have lead to high expectations for their Ladder Match at Summer Slam.
Raw is War, July 27, Hunter fought X-Pac and Maivia in a Triple Threat Match, the odds were with Degeneration X, but both wanted to win, and that was why neither man was able to walk away with the Intercontinental Title, since Maivia just left and got counted out, when Hunter and X-Pac slugged it out.
The problems with X-Pac continues at Raw is War, August 3, 1998, Hunter and X-Pac had a match to determine the number one contender for the Intercontinental Title, Hunter won the match, when Chyna interfered. After the match Hunter and X-Pac went nose to nose, but for the time being they patched things up.
At Raw is War, August 10, the members of Degeneration X arrived to the arena by themselves. During the show the accusations flew all over the place, but finally they agreed to moon the crowd, but Chyna stopped them and mooned the crowd herself. Even though DX have agreed to stay together they are in more trouble than ever, the next week they were beaten into a bloody pulp by the Nation, who were helped by Jeff Jarrett and Southern Justice.
Hunter was angry at Raw is War, August 24, and brained both Val Venis and Taka with a chair due to the Nation who in their confrontation with Chyna wanted to lay a wet one on her.
Hunter was ready for the Ladder Match at Summer Slam, but the odds were stacked against Hunter since Maivia hit Hunter on his bad knee with the belt at Sunday Night Heat. But Hunter and Rocky Maivia showed us a great fight, where interference played a big part in the match. The end came when Maivia was going for the belt, Chyna delivered a low blow so that Hunter could snatch the title and become WWF Intercontinental Champion for a second time. At Raw is War, September 14, Hunter defeated Owen Hart to retain the title.
Injuries
The next in line for a shot at Hunter's Intercontinental Title is Mark Henry, who attacked Hunter at Sunday Night Heat. Unfortunately Hunter has been under the knife with his knee, which will sideline him for a while, so at Sunday Night Heat before Breakdown, Hunter was attacked in the locker rooms, which was used as an excuse for Hunter not being able to compete. Trouble is brewing in DX as of lately, since Billy Gunn feels he has carried more than his load, will an injured Hunter calm it down?
Hunter's knee injury proved to be worse than expected, since he was stripped of the Intercontinental Title at October 11, Sunday Night Heat. Ken Shamrock won the tournament for the vacant title was awarded with it at Sunday Night Heat, before Judgement Day, Hunter Hearst Helmsley awarded it and followed up with Degeneration X's punch line Suck It, this got Shamrock to attack Hunter later that night by slamming a door on Hunter's knee.
Hunter was scheduled to be in the 14 man tournament at Survivor Series, but couldn't make it due to his injury. Hunter made his return on Raw is War, November 30, as he saved X-Pac from Ken Shamrock.
Hunter had his first televised match at Capital Carnage, where Hunter defeated Jeff Jarrett. Hunter was scheduled to take on the Rock, but X-Pac got the shot instead, but still both Hunter and Chyna helped X-Pac, but he wasn't able to get the duke. Raw is War, December 7, Hunter and X-Pac confronted the New Age Outlaws regarding Vince McMahon's stable, and they claimed they belonged to corporation. Hunter then confronted Shawn, who refired with a match against Ken Shamrock and the Big Boss Man. Degeneration X tricked the corporation as the New Age Outlaws turned on the corporation and proved that it was just a scam.
At Raw is War, December 14, Hunter and the rest of Degeneration X made a parody of the Coperation. Hunter also took on Rocky Maivia in a match for the World Title, but Shawn stuck his ugly head in the match, but Chyna took care of him, but suddenly a mystery guy attacked Hunter. The mystery guy, who attacked Hunter, was announced at Sunday Night Heat as Test, at the show Degeneration X saved Mankind from a beating from the Corporation.
The next night at Raw is War, Hunter and X-Pac took on Test and Rocky Maivia, but Kane came to ringside and chokeslammed each member of DX, thereby sealing his pact with the Corporation. Hunter took on Ken Shamrock at Raw is War, December 28, it was a strong bout, where Triple H got the win by DQ, when Shamrock refused to let go of the Ankle Lock.

Steve Austin
Ring Name(current):Stone Cold Steve Austin
Real Name: Steve Williams
Date of birth: Dec. 18th
Height: 6 foot 2
Weight: 252 pounds
From: Victoria, Texas
Favorite Quote: "And that's the bottom line, 'cause Stone Cold said so!"
Finishing Move: Stone Cold Stunner
Career highlights: World Wrestling Federation Championship(4), Intercontinental(2), Tag Team(3), 1996 King Of The Ring, 1998 Royal Rumble winner.

Stone Cold Steve Austin. The mere mention of his name will bring any sold-out crowd to its feet in a crazed frenzy. Never before has the world of sports-entertainment seen a phenomenon like the one that Stone Cold Steve Austin has created. At any live event you attend, all you see is a sea of Austin 3:16. Why? 'Cause Stone Cold said so!

When the Texas Rattlesnake entered the Mecca Arena in Milwaukee, for the 1996 King Of The Ring, he never could have imagined that before the evening was through, he would change the entire face of the wrestling world. After beating the Bible-referencing Jake "The Snake" Roberts to become King Of The Ring, Austin accepted his crown, and upon doing so informed Roberts that "Austin 3:16 says I just whooped your ass!" With that simple phrase, Austin became the most popular superstar to ever compete in this sport.

Some peers say Stone Cold Steve Austin is a suicide machine with lack of regard for authority and rules. But you can't deny this superstar is tougher than leather when he steps through the ring ropes. Without a doubt, there are still plenty of unwritten chapters in the book of Austin 3:16!
Stone Cold Steve Austin is arguably the greatest Superstar in the history of WWE. A six-time WWE Champion, the Texas Rattlesnake has highlighted three WrestleMania events, won the Royal Rumble match three times, and has had memorable matches against the greatest superstars in the game.

Austin's era of greatness began at the 1996 King of the Ring. After winning the tournament, Austin coined the phrase, "Austin 3:16," which says that "I just whipped your ass!" He would go on to win his first WWE Championship at WrestleMania XIV in 1998 with some help from boxer Mike Tyson, and would then segue into the infamous "Austin vs. McMahon" feud, which propelled sports-entertainment into the stratosphere.

After returning from a career-threatening neck injury in 2000, the Rattlesnake quickly climbed back to the top of the World Wrestling, culminating in his WWE Championship win over The Rock at WrestleMania X-Seven, in front of 67,925 of his fellow Texans at the Reliant Astrodome!

He's a trash-talking, beer-swilling, finger-gesturing, ass-kicking son of a bitch, and millions of WWE fans wouldn't have it any other way!

Chris Jericho
There are a select few performers in wrestling that possesses excellent in-ring and out-of-the-ring skills, and Chris Jericho is one of them. Trained in the Infamous Hart Family Dungeon, Jericho is one of the world's finest technical wrestlers. However, he is more known as one of wrestling's best interviews. Using a unique brand of comedy, including mocking his opponent's name and persona, Jericho has risen to the top of the wrestling world.

Jericho spent most of the early 90s working US Independent shows and in Mexico. He made a name for himself in Japan, and signed to work in ECW on February 2, 1996. He spent the first half of 1996 working in ECW, and had some classic matches with Sabu and others. After a month long TV Title reign, he soon signed with WCW.

He finally made his major US debut on August 20, 1996 where he defeated Mr. JL (now Jerry Lynn). A month later, Jericho made his PPV debut in a match against fellow Canadian Chris Benoit. Over the next couple years in WCW, Jericho worked as a clean cut good guy, with a "rock star" like persona. He didn't make much of an impact, but did score an upset victory over Syxx (Xpac) of the NWO in June 1997 which was the first major title loss for the original NWO.

It wasn't until he turned into a heel that his true talents on the mic were seen. Jericho, after losing some matches, began to cry and complain, and starting attacking ring announcer David Penzer. Thus began Jericho as a lying, cheating bad guy. This thrust him into the forefront of the Cruiserweight division, a title he would dominate until moving to the TV Title.

Jericho had several memorable feuds over the cruiserweight title, most notably with Dean Malenko and Juventud Guerrera. In early 1998, Jericho and Juvi had a great series of matches, which culminated in a "mask vs. title" match where Jericho won, and had the honor of unmasking Guerrera. In his feud with Malenko, Jericho was at his funniest, first causing Dean to "retire," then mocking Malenko. Jericho once claimed he was the man of 1004 holds (Dean had only 1000) and read them one by one on Monday Nitro. Also, Jericho held a memorial in the ring for Dean's career, speaking to a photo of Dean on a tripod.

Known for finding loopholes around losing his title, Jericho once journeyed to Washington DC to find legal clauses that would uphold his title reigns. After moving from the Cruiserweight Division to the TV Title (which he won from Stevie Ray in the summer of 1998 right after losing the Cruiserweight Title), Jericho began working with the heavyweights, including the beginning of a feud with Goldberg. However, due to politics, Jericho never did get to wrestle Goldberg, but still claims "Jericho 4, Goldberg 0." It was during this "feud" that Jericho debuted his "Jericho Personal Security Guard" and "Jerichoholic Ninja," a team designed to mock Goldberg's elaborate entrance. The Security Guard, Ralphus, became Jericho's manager.
The first part of 1999 was tough for Jericho in WCW, because he was put on the back burner due to a contract dispute. It turns out WCW was correct not to push Jericho, because he signed with the WWF and made is Raw debut on August 9, 1999 in what many call the most memorable debut in WWF history. There had been a "Millenium Countdown" on WWF programming for weeks before. Finally, the countdown was set to end, and out came Chris Jericho, claiming to "save" the WWF from boring mic work by the Rock. It was a brilliant way to introduce Jericho, and a clever inside jab at WCW.

In his WWF career, Jericho has already won three fourths of the vaulted Grand Slam of WWF Titles. In a feud with the first woman to hold a major WWF Title, Chyna, over the Intercontinental title, Jericho was the man to end that reign. In the first half of 2000, Jericho has been elevated to the top of the WWF, teaming with the Rock and battling against the McMahon family. In some classic promos, Jericho has run down Stephanie McMahon Helmsley, inducing the ire of HHH. Jericho also went on to have feuds with X-Pac and Kane among others in 2000.

In 2001, Jericho acheived one of his life goals, when he beat both The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin, in the same night (straight after each other) for the WWF Undisputed World Title. (Which is both the WCW World Title and the WWF World Title). Another life goal for Jericho was to be apart of the WrestleMania main event, and on March 17th 2002.

Jericho is the FIRST and ONLY wrestler in WWF history to acquire the WWF Hardcore, WWF European, WWF Tag Team (with Chris Beniot and The Rock), WWF Intercontinental and the WWF World Heavyweight Title. This makes Chris Jericho's claim as being the larger than life, living legend undisputeable. Jericho was also the third wrestler to get the "Grand Slam", which is winning the Tag Team, European, Intercontinental and World Titles in the WWF. (The other two wrestlers who have acomplished this feat are - Triple H and Shawn Micheals.

It is Jericho's charm and wit that attracts fans from all over the world, and his excellent work in the ring that keeps fans wanting more. After being held in the lower card in WCW, Jericho is finally realizing his full potential in the WWF and will be a top star for years to come.

As the year 2002 rolls on...one has to wonder what is in store for the Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla?
